Know Before You Go
-
Green Border Gravel is a 300 km self-supported gravel event that follows Slovenia’s wild southern borderlands. The format is intentionally simple and authentic — riders are responsible for their own fueling, navigation, and pacing throughout the route.
Key principles:
Self-supported: no organized feed zones, no mechanical support, no external assistance.
One continuous route: riders must follow the official GPX track at all times.
Open roads: there are no road closures; all traffic rules apply.
Solo effort: drafting is allowed, but teamwork or shared support is not.
Simple timing: riders use their smartphone for tracking through MapProgress.
Remote terrain: large portions of the route pass through deep forest and rural border regions.
This event is built on freedom, self-reliance, and respect for the landscape.
